The design department of the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim are hosting their legendary race for the sixth time this year. They await a big crowd as it has become a very popular event. In 2007 nearly 2000 visitors came and watched intently as 20 participants and 5 teams battled eachother on the track.

This year the race will be even more exciting due to the fact that students are given two high powered PSR 18 LI-2 batteries from the sponsor Bosch Power Tools. It is up to the designer, who is also the driver, if he wants to use both batteries in his design.

We do not only award time and performance but also innovative and unique design. The jury can give extra points for creativity. Most important is that an electric drill is at hand at all times so the driver can manage obstacles on the course.
